I'm recently upgraded to a "new" laptop, on Windows 10 - Versionē Build 19043 (i.e.

Is there any benefit to audio - of moving from Windows 10 to Windows 11? Is there any other end user benefit of moving from Windows 10 to Windows 11? Check the times and strength there and if it's on/off. This would make things less blue, not brighter, but worth checking: Settings->System->Display-Night Light. Make sure none of these are on if you do not need them.

(In some cases, you may just want to install an updated version of the graphics driver and, if offered, pick an option not to retain any settings)Ģ. Not sure about that with integrated Intel graphics. There are sometimes color space settings there. control panel for your GPU (like nvidia/amd). However, there are three possible places I can think of off the top of my head:ġ. I can't find settings to adjust them and every other computer has looked normal to me through the same monitor. It's hard to know without seeing exactly what you're seeing. I have one simple problem which is the colors are very bright and don't look accurate. I have been running everything on Windows 11 and going back to this now. It may take a few tries with different settings. Specifically, there's a high DPI settings button to look into.ĭo that while the app is closed, then launch it, and see if that fixes it. You may be able to pin the app and then right-click the shortcut and play with options under the Compatibility tab in the Properties window.

Before they supported high DPI, you could get it to scale, but it would be blurry.ĪVID is always very particular about what they do or do not support. Ableton Live, for example, has a 100% custom way of putting pixels on the screen and scaling to resolution/DPI. It's the downside of an open platform, with everyone picking different ways of doing screen drawing. Besides there’s no real advantages to w11 yet.ĭoes anyone know anything about this? Do other DAW's work on 4 K screens? Most do, but then you find that certain plugins do not. Otherwise if there is a problem they won’t support it. My advice is to wait till protools and all of your plugins officially support W11. This YouTuber has it running ok but doesn’t say which version he is on. Windows 11 is not officially supported yet. Just call a company that sells protools and the salesperson should be able to tell you, so you don’t have to pay avid.

I am on pro Tools 2019 right now.ĭoes anyone know anything about this? Do other DAW's work on 4 K screens?Your version doesn’t support 4K scaling, not sure if the 2021 versions do but ad of 2020 it’s not supported. I would go on the subscription if it would work on a 4K monitor. I have been trying to find a way to ask Avid without paying them for a question. I have to put away my new 43 inch monitor and go back to a 32 on 1080. I had no idea that it wasn't compatible and am shocked. Just checking on using protools on a 4K screen.
